LEGAL

Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information Analyst House LLC ("Analyst House", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it.

What this policy covers

This policy covers our website at analysthouse.io, our client portal, and the software we use to deliver our accounting and advisory services, including its connection to QuickBooks Online.

When you hire us, the financial and business data we handle for you is also governed by your engagement letter, including our professional duty of confidentiality. In that work we act on your instructions as your service provider, and your data remains yours. If your engagement letter and this policy conflict, your engagement letter controls.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, book a call, or become a client, we collect:

  • Contact details, such as name, email address, and phone number
  • Business information, such as legal name, ownership, and tax details
  • Financial records, such as bank and credit card statements, receipts, invoices, payroll records, and payment activity
  • Access to the financial systems we work in on your behalf, such as accounting, banking, payroll, and payment platforms
  • Messages, documents, and call notes from our work together, including notes from calls where we use a meeting notetaker
  • Billing information, such as the bank account or card you use to pay for our services, which our payment processor collects and stores.

Information from QuickBooks Online. When you, or a member of our team with your permission, connect our software to your QuickBooks Online company, we receive company profile and accounting data, such as your chart of accounts, transactions, customers and vendors, and reports. See "Our QuickBooks Online connection" below.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use our client portal, we collect standard technical details, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you move around the site. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the services in our engagement with you
  • Run the client portal and our software, and keep your QuickBooks data in sync
  • Communicate with you about your account and our services
  • Bill for our services
  • Understand how visitors use our website and improve it
  • Keep our systems secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems
  • Meet our legal and professional obligations

We do not sell your information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Artificial intelligence

We use business versions of AI tools to help our team work more efficiently. We choose AI providers whose business terms do not allow them to train their models on your information, and we do not use your QuickBooks data or other client data to train AI models. AI output can contain mistakes, and our team stays responsible for our work.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to deliver our services:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as providers of website and software hosting, databases, file storage, email, messaging, scheduling, meeting notes, payment processing, and artificial intelligence. They receive only the information they need to do their job, are bound to protect it, and may use it only on our behalf.
  • The platforms we work in on your behalf, such as your accounting, banking, and payroll systems.
  • People you ask us to share it with, such as your tax preparer, attorney, investors, or lender.

Your QuickBooks data is available only to you, the people you authorize, Analyst House team members who need it to serve you, and the service providers described above. We never share it with other clients or sell it.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, our team, or our clients. If Analyst House is involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer as part of it, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

Our QuickBooks Online connection

Our software can connect to QuickBooks Online so we can work in your books more efficiently. We use your QuickBooks data only to provide our services to you, and we never sell it or use it to train AI models. You can disconnect at any time from the apps area of your QuickBooks Online account, or by asking us. Once disconnected, our software stops accessing your QuickBooks data, and we delete what we stored from it within a reasonable time, unless we need it to meet our obligations under your engagement letter or the law.

QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. Analyst House is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.

Text messages

If you text with us, we use your phone number only to communicate with you about our services. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use analysthouse.io. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, and sends it to Google. We do not use cookies to sell your data or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features of our client portal need essential cookies to keep you signed in and may not work without them.

When you book a call through our website, our scheduling provider collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and anything you share about your business, and passes them to us.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, such as encryption and access controls that limit your information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you and others as the law and our agreements require.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our professional, legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and we stop accessing QuickBooks data once you disconnect, as described above. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses of it, and to withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond as applicable law requires. We may keep information we are legally required to keep.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, or with your consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where we process information

We are based in the United States, and your information is generally stored and processed here. Some of our team members work outside the United States and may access your information to provide our services, under the same safeguards described in this policy. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with us, let us know and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our website links to sites and services we do not control, such as our scheduling provider. Their privacy policies apply once you leave our site, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services and the law change. We will post the new version here and update the effective date above, and we may also let our clients know directly.
